The accommodation we offer at the Bamboo Walk is all that you are most likely to need on a tropical holiday, where the emphasis is on enjoying the sun in the day and resting in the cool of the night.
Our accommodation comprises of 12 superior and standard guest rooms, all with low noise air-conditioning units, cable TV and a spacious en suite bathroom with hot and cold water. The Standard rooms have either a double or 2 single beds, while the Superior rooms are all equipped with double beds, a mini refrigerator, and are more spacious so an extra child’s bed can be fitted.
All the rooms are non-smoking and quiet, and are very good value for money, especially in comparison with other 2 star hotels on the island.
The colour scheme is either a very pleasant, calming green or a warm, cheerful orange, with the ceilings wooden and the floors a cooling stone. There is a table inside the room, but more importantly, each room has its own private, shaded veranda, well separated from the neighbours, and is an ideal place to have afternoon tea or relax with a beer after a hard day in the sun.
The spacious bathroom with a very good shower, well pressured and hot if needed, becomes a really important consideration after a day at the beach, and they are all decorated in a relaxing white.
The Superior rooms are situated around the pool area. They have plenty of chairs to lounge on and hammocks on the veranda. The added space in the bedroom makes them definitely worth the small difference in price.
Childcare is available, under the care of the warm, innately friendly and extremely responsible Filipino staff working here. No one external is coming in to look after your child. This can make a huge difference to your holiday, making going for a dive and a round of golf a realistic possibility.
Another very useful facility is wireless LAN, high-speed Internet access all over the hotel, including in the rooms. For a small island, Tobago’s Internet service is now generally very good.
We also provide laundry service and room service and the standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel is very high. There is a hotel safe that guests can use and a car park if you have hired a car.
The beauty of the Bamboo Walk Hotel is that everything you need for a hassle free holiday is under one roof, and once you are restored and ready to explore, Yes Tourism is also on the premises to help organize any trip you might want to do, from a sailing experience to an off road adventure safari.
Patrick Dankou is the general manager and English, German and French are spoken. Hotel transfers, not only from Tobago but also from Trinidad, can be arranged, in fact they can organize anything from a local excursion to sailing in the Grenadines if you wish to explore other islands in the Caribbean chain.
